Forests and animal tracks, streams which provide background music to the walks and the magical panoramas will be the backdrop to your holiday. For the more expert practices of this sport, Val di Fassa offers various itineraries in mountain bike to take on and pit your wits against: these places are perfect for testing your limits and going beyond.

Racing bikes and the great climbs of the Val di Fassa

The Val di Fassa is not just about Mountain Biking, there are also plenty of trails for racing bikes which are very well-known in the Trentino area. The passes of the Dolomites, such as Pordoi, San Pellegrino and Costalunga are often part of the mountain section of the Giro d’Italia cycling race.

The daily rush and the traffic caused by public transport will be a distant memory during your stay in the San Pellegrino Pass.

A summer on two wheels

From May to October, the cycling routes and the more complex trails can be travelled by tourists and lovers of this sport. For those without professional equipment, there are plenty of hire shops and specialised workshops.

Experience and enthusiasm for exploring these magnificent lands by mountain bike or bicycle in Val di Fassa notwithstanding, prudence is fundamental. For the road-based trails, it is necessary to pay close attention to cars and not go too fast. The same goes for the sections in the midst of the mountains,  at times, the terrain is not always asphalted or perfectly flat!

A special mention goes to Val di Fassa bike, the popular international Mountain Bike competition which takes place in September: the itineraries lead right through the depths of the Moena mountain landscape.

At the reception of our hotel, you will find a detailed programme with the best trails from Monday to Saturday for you and your family!
